Written in the stars

The night we met we had gone to watch a meteor shower at the beach. Zack was standing by himself with his camera capturing the night sky while everyone else sat on the beach. I was curious so I got up and introduced myself. I didn’t think much of it and neither did he. After that night we hung out a few more times playing music in the dorm lobbies and sometimes I would steal some of his food as he was cooking dinnerFrom the beginning, there was an inexplicable connection. But like I said, we didn’t think much of it.

Fast forward to the following semester, we both had registered for the Shakespeare in Performance class. It was in Shakespeare that we really got to know each other and become better friends. We began creating inside jokes and our own traditions that we would carry on throughout our next couple of years in Shakespeare in Performance.

It was the summer after our first semester in Shakespeare that we began to realize that maybe there was more than just a friendship between the two of us. We spent almost every day together in the company of our close friends. We climbed buildings to stargaze a lot that summer, and that was where the two of us would have deep conversations. We got to know each other very well and had become the best of friends in that year.

But deep down we began to realize that we were meant to be more than just friends. That following fall semester we began to talk about dating and come that November we went from friendship to relationship! We happily dated for 8 months growing closer and falling more in love every day and on August 14th 2020 we got engaged!

Fast forward to the present and we excitedly preparing for our wedding. On July 11, 2020 we both get to fulfill our dream to marry our best friend. If you told me the night we met that we would end up falling in love and spending the rest of our lives together I wouldn’t have believed it, but I guess our fate was written in the stars!
